Today was an Adventure Sport Tourism Day.
We started by rafting down the Sarapiqui River
In a tropical wet forest environment, the crystal water river travels along green pastures and farmland, lush vegetation of towering trees, vines and flowers, cascading mountains and the La Selva Biological Reserve, a scene that is worth at least 1,000 words. This environment is the habitat to several different species of monkeys, sloths, crocodiles, river turtles, iguanas, toucans, hummingbirds, woodpeckers and much more.
The fantastic setting also makes the Sarapiqui a great river for white water rafting. The moderate class III rapids are ideal for novices and families. The trip took around two hours and was a great trip. We stopped halfway to dive into the river and eat watermelon and pineapple.
Our guide Davis was very knowledgeable about the river and rafting. He was very hospitable and made the trip and adventure.

After lunch we rode horses through the countryside, across cow and horse pastures and across rivers and streams. I didn't take my camera with me as it was raining and my camera is a little to large to carry with me while a horse is galloping.
