Costa Rica Study Abroad Day 3- Boat tours thru canals of Tortuguero National Park

DAY 3- JWU Costa Rica Study Abroad Program

After a night of tropical rain forest sounds and a terrific nights sleet we ate breakfast (consisting of the traditional beans & rice, fresh fruit, and eggs), and then boarded boats once again to take trip number one of two touring the Tortuguero National Park by boat (each trip was two hours each)

During trip one we saw monkeys, caimans, turtles, lizards, birds, and even an ant eater.

Once returning from trip one, the students got a chance to relax for an hour and half, go kayaking or lounge by the swimming pool.

Thank you Ricardo Howell for the terrific day of exploration....

Trip two was down a different canal and we saw toucans, caimans, various other birds and more monkeys.  The toucans moved to quick for me to take pictures of them :(
