Tour de Turtles Tortuguero, Costa Rica
Today I got the rare and exciting opportunity to view a Green Sea Turtle being released back into the ocean after laying her eggs the following night at Tortuguero National Park
COSTA RICA LIVE SEA TURTLE RELEASE
STC researchers will be attaching a satellite-transmitter on a green sea turtle as part of the Tour de Turtles migration marathon. Starting at 8 am, visitors can stop by STC's Research Station Visitor Centre for an up-close look at the turtle and transmitter attachment process, then head out to the beach for the turtle's release under the Start Gate at 9 am (please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early).
